These annotators refine large language models (LLMs), sort data, rank outputs, and decide what counts as “good” or “safe” behavior for AI. This work is often sold as flexible, remote, and fairly simple: just follow the guidelines and complete tasks. The reality for many workers—especially autistic annotators—is far more demanding. Every decision is reviewed. Every review affects your metrics. Those metrics determine whether you keep access to the project or quietly lose your income.
